REMO
In REMO, a system for the remote and permanent monitoring of the structural integrity of all the rotating components in a tidal stream generator is being developed. The system is based on an ultrasound and vibration sensor technology.
DEGIMA will apply this technology to the wave energy buoy stoppers to monitor the structural integrity of the buoy as well as of the correct performance of the generator (PTO- power-take-off).
ACORN
This project, in collaboration with CTC and TWI, consists of developing a coating, starting from a T.S.A. base. (Thermal Spray Aluminium) to which an antifouling is added in order to extend the life of marine artefacts that have to remain in salt water for a long period of time with minimum maintenance.
This coating is environmentally friendly. The film degrades only 2 μm/year, so the release rate of the active substance is very low.
PINTURA VS ACORN
TEMPERATE CO2
Prototype welding using resonant converters.
This is the first project in which Degima participated and it is also its own project that has given rise to numerous collaboration agreements with the University of Cantabria through the Department of Electronic Technology, Systems Engineering and Automation of the ETS de Ingenieros Industriales y de Telecomunicación.
Two prototypes of welding power supplies have been developed that allow to reach 300A, which empowers to carry out TIG – Electrode and Semi-automatic welding.
