DEGIMA collaborated in the design and development of WEDGE, a unique and pioneering offshore infrastructure installed in the Canary Islands.

Similar to Waveport, Wedge uses an electromagnet powered generator which increases energy efficiency, and minimises wear and maintenance.

Point absorber, the generation technology used for this installation, was partly designed and developed by DEGIMA.

It was built at Degima´s facilities, and later shipped in parts to be finally assembled in the Canary Islands.
