More than 25 years of experience DEGIMA is a company traditionally specialized in the realization of boilermaking and welding of steel and aluminum of great dimensions, which has opted for the diversification of its productive activities to the naval, civil, industrial and energy sectors. Our facilities in Maliaño (Cantabria) have easy access to the sea, which allows us to build and move large structures.

Taking advantage of the knowledge and experience in the constructions made for the naval sector, Degima decided in 2000 to apply this knowledge to the R+D+i of marine and off-shore renewable energies. To this end, it is channelling resources from regional and national projects and mainly participating in large projects supported by European funds within the FP7 and H2020 calls dedicated to two main purposes: the manufacture of large marine and off-shore power generation machines and also to develop solutions that improve safety and extend the useful life of future equipment installed at sea.
